Problem:
Cloud computing proposes three business models: IaaS (Infrastructure as a service); SaaS
(Software as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service).
-How and to what degree do ASNs Support each of these three models?
-Which ASN properties support which business model?
-Which cloud computing requirements cannot be met?
-How should ASNs be "extended" to meet ALL cloud computing requirements?
Thesis Results:
Reference architecture design (through ASNs) for each of the cloud computing business
models.
Thesis Tasks:
- Literature study in Cloud Computing and its three main business models
(Infrastructure, Platform and Software as services)
- Literature study on ASNs
- Assess ASNs' feasibility for each business model:
- Gather requirements for each of the cloud computing business model;
- Provide reference architecture for each business model;
- Provide case-study validating results for each architecture;
- Note down problems found and solving steps adopted and providing rationale.
- Report lessons learned in every task.
