Title: Comparison between .NET and Java EE - Implementation of a Cash & Bank Application

Description: The demands of software engineering increases with everyday passed and every organization shows interest to work on daily transaction. The main purpose of this paper is to compare two different software development technologies. To develop the software project, selection of appropriate platform is not easy. Both software development tools have some pros and cons. This paper helps and supports to take decision while selecting software development platform.

Software application interface of cash and bank project is developed using C-Sharp (C#) and Java programming language. Microsoft Visual Studio platform is used for C# development; Netbeans IDE is used for Java application and database of both applications is design in SQL Server. Cash and bank application is developed with three tier architecture and layer approach. The syntax of .NET and Java programming language is quite similar but technique to establish connection, data retrieval and manipulating the data are different. Microsoft Visual Studio .NET provide built in and efficient user control that helps to developer for fast development in shorter period of time.
