Title: Challenges and Opportunities of Automating Performance Testing: An Industrial Case Study

Description: Tobii is a world leader manufacturer of Eye Tracking technology (http://www.tobii.com/). Their main software product which analyze Eye Tracker data is Tobii Studio (http://www.tobii.com/en/eye-tracking-research/global/products/software/tobii-studio-analysis-software/). Tobii Studio is a complex software developed by a large team of developers which continuously release new versions of the software. The software is today developed using test driven development, unit tests are added when new functionalities are implemented and we run automatic regression tests of the software continuously to verify functionalities. Those tests are written both in C# and with the test tool TestComplete.

Scope of the thesis is to investigate the possibilities to have automatic performance, load and stress tests to a larger extent.
This thesis work should:
- Investigation of the need for automatic performance, load and stress tests by interviewing key persons at Tobii (testers, developers, product management, support etc)
- Investigation of what tools and possibilities Tobii have already today in-house
- Investigation of what other relevant tools and possibilities exists on the market today
- Build and implement a prototypes of automatic performance, load and stress test scripts in selected tool
