Description: Telecom companies like Ericsson face major challenge from the market to deliver products with new functionalities and improved performance and that too within limited time frame. As such there is a need to develop products which often involve creating new hardware systems. To standardize the new system, it is very important to compare its actual performance with that of the legacy system. Conventionally, this process is undertaken much later in the development cycle. An early analysis would have helped in detecting the performance related issues and correcting them much before the product‟s release. This would have significantly reduced the development time of the product. The aim of the thesis is to find a way to see if it is feasible to develop such an application which would simulate the behaviour of real-time telecom applications and help in analyzing the performance of new systems.
