Title: An Evaluation of Timing Improvements of SLAM Algorithm Using Heterogeneous System Architecture Compliant Platform

Description: This thesis work is to evaluate timing improvements of SLAM algorithm using heterogeneous system architecture (HSA). The main challenge of this thesis work is to parallelise a SLAM algorithm, TinySLAM, using the OpenCL framework on HSA compliant platform. Hence, comparison study of measuring a computation time of the SLAM algorithm on both single CPU and HSA environment (CPU+GPU) will be a part of the thesis.
