Title: A software modeling environment based on UML for small touch devices

Description: UML is the de facto modelling language in industry. Several approaches and tools have been developed throughout the years for allowing the editing of the many concepts provided by UML. These are commonly supported by desktop applications, and modelling activities entail an enormous amount of mouse "clicks".
With the exponential adoption of new interaction technologies, such as touch devices, there is the potential to "go back" to a more informal, sketchy fashion of modelling, from which well-formed UML models can be automatically derived to be used for, e.g. communication and documentation.

This thesis work will investigate the possibility to leverage the drawing features of a touch device in order to sketch models, which are automatically brought to a well-formed UML format.
