  • [ 4 ] Some presentations were too long. If there are 10min for presentation, then everything longer than that should be stopped. I know that sometimes 10min its not enough, but if students were better prepared than it will be enough
  • [ 5 ] An excellent course, the best I had during my studying, also the hardest!
  • [ 5 ] The course was great. I really liked the real project assignments. It really was like a simulation of what's yet to come.
  • [ 5 ] Course had a good structure, and enough time to prepare the prorotype
  • [ 3 ] Pretty good course, it was a good learning experience. However, there could have been a bit more theory discussed during lectures.
  • [ 5 ] A great experience
  • [ 5 ] Course was realy excellent. I learn much more than my exectations
  • [ 4 ] accent on working hours instead of project progress, disappointing level of skills and competence of swedish students
  • [ 3 ] Working on the project was exciting and fun but I have the feeling as if there are some really weird values rewarded here.
  • [ 5 ] DSD is a good course because now a days DSD becomes very common practice.
  • [ 5 ] Very interesting.
  • [ 4 ] I enjoyed the course as it gave an opportunity to learn new technologies, tools, team work , meet people from different, make new friends and know about cultural differences.
  • [ 5 ] Loads of learning and fun
  • [ 4 ] The course was really good. There are lot of things to take back home after attending this course. Thanks to both the universities (MDH
  • [ 3 ] Whole course was good and very affective for us. We learnt bunch of thing in this course like working in a team, system development life cycle. Weakly assessment of work keeps us up to date.
  • [ 5 ] It was an enriching experience.
  • [ 4 ] It was great experience, but am dissapointed a bit with the organization, it could have been on a higher level
  • [ 5 ] Really it was excellent. It gave us very good knowledge.
  • [ 4 ] The course was good, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
  • [ 5 ] great course, great experience
  • [ 3 ] Some things were good, and some were bad.
Which are which, you can read in the rest of this evaluation form.
  • [ 3 ] The course has potential to be an excellent course but unfortunately it failed to fulfill my expectations. This is mainly the result of numerous smaller problems of which the most obvious are: too many students at MdH; the skill level of the students at MdH is not nearly high enough (in general); students at MdH seem less motivated for serious work; presentations which exceeded the alotted times have not been interrupted; too much emphasis on cultural differences.
Some positive sides worth mentioning: the teaching staff and their efforts; a chance to learn about different cultures and countries; interesting projects; some useful guest lectures.
  • [ 3 ] Negative sides:
    - presentations that exceeded the time allotted were not interrupted
    - students at MdH seemed to be less motivated and were less skilled for the serious tasks they (we) were presented with

    Positive sides:
    - I got the chance to meet some new people and their cultures
  • [ 5 ] Excellent course, good organization, very nice concept. We should be thankful for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with distribute software development.
  • [ 4 ] Overall course experience was good
  • [ 5 ] very good

  • [ 4 ] It has to an extent but wanted to learn a new technology. But the project did not allow.
  • [ 4 ] yes v much, but may be some more lectures on documentation. some students didn't have professional experience and were not familiar
  • [ 3 ] I expected some more theory on distributed development, the practical part was as i expected it to be, although it was a bit more work than what i hoped for.
  • [ 5 ] the course was beyond my expectations
  • [ 5 ] Yes, The Course has fulfilled my expectations
  • [ 4 ] accent on working hours instead of project progress, disappointing level of skills and competence of swedish students
  • [ 4 ] There was good amount of learning but required more efforts for a normal course worth 7.5hp
  • [ 4 ] Yes , it has fulfilled all of my expectations.
  • [ 4 ] I am confident on completing the requirement of this project and we have successfully completed this project.
  • [ 5 ] I am satisfied, because I have learned a lot and in overall it was worth it
  • [ 4 ] Yes. Before the course started I was expecting something and now it has been fulfilled by this course.
  • [ 3 ] I was dissapointed in knowleadge of MDH students, and because of that knowleade gap, it was hard to work efficently on the project.
  • [ 2 ] I expected quite a bit more in terms of organization and course usefulness.
  • [ 5 ] Indeed.
  • [ 4 ] yes, it has been one wonderful learning expeinec for me and I had never experienced before so uch intensive team learning, hence I learned it through this course and hence it has fullfilled my expectations.
  • [ 5 ] yes

  • [ 4 ]
  • [ 5 ] No I believe the opposite holds
  • [ 4 ] The concept was good, though there could have been more theory in the lectures.
  • [ 4 ] Yes, possibly some lectures related more to distributed project management would be good to have
  • [ 4 ] would be even better if there were less lectures
  • [ 5 ] Yes, finally a course where there's no need to learn hundreds of slides by heart as is often the case at FER.
  • [ 4 ] Too many student presentations.
  • [ 5 ] The most useful class for future education.
  • [ 4 ] the lectures namely cultural differences, how to make a better presentations were useful and interesting where as lectures related to industry(ABB) could have been presented in a more interesting way and interactive.
  • [ 4 ] The concept was good. It was not full of lectures making it boring rather was fun as involved more of practical work
  • [ 5 ] The concept of the course is really good.It gives practical exposure to software engineers.
  • [ 4 ] Lectures are also good and concept of distributed project was very well in up to the mark of modern state of the art methodologies.
  • [ 5 ] The concepts was good, but some lectures didn't make sense and weren't usefull - maybe to talk more about project organization in beginning of the course
  • [ 4 ] Its really good to have some good lectures in between the course period so that we will come to know few more new things which are around us.
  • [ 5 ] The concept as a whole was good, however some lectures should be ordered differently (e.g., the lecture about giving presentations should be among the first).
  • [ 4 ] good, but i think we can always improve the quality of presentations specially when we hear it from people in the other university.
  • [ 3 ] Concept is good, but the lectures part was uninteresting, and I believe more usefull topics for some lectures need to be found.
  • [ 4 ] The concept is quite good but difficult to carry through when you have 70 students enrolled.
  • [ 5 ] The concept is just fine, but there is just too much work on the projects for such a small reward (8/7,5 ECTS).
  • [ 3 ] Project good
Presentations sometimes non important, for example for cultural differences.
  • [ 4 ] Yes, i think the course learning prospects were quite well augmented with the lectures and projects.
  • [ 5 ] satisfactory

  • [ 5 ] it was perfect. everthing was very well organised wid no mis management
  • [ 5 ] All info that we needed was always available
  • [ 5 ] No problem with the administration, everything was published on time, all the relevant information was accessible.
  • [ 4 ] It was timely, but since most students didn't register for email updates (they didn't know) they were always asking others
  • [ 5 ] Very good, clear information on the website, support was good, this aspect was excellent.
  • [ 5 ] Great support
  • [ 5 ] The course was very well managed, very well structured and informative about various activities involved.
  • [ 5 ] It was excellent.
  • [ 5 ] I am really proud we have got good and clear documentation. I got my way of working. I was very clear what we are going to make what the customer basically want in this project. We knew functional and business requirements in this project.
  • [ 5 ] It was quite good and all information was available on time for students
  • [ 4 ] Everything is really good.
  • [ 5 ] it was impressive with all the updates and information.
  • [ 5 ] Everything was great.
  • [ 5 ] We were well informed, everything was correct and transparent.
  • [ 5 ] Very good. Paricularly, the presence of old projects on the webpage was the best part for me.

  • [ 4 ] plenty of good stuff. Especially about how to present well
  • [ 5 ] new technologies, distributed work, various documentation, presentations and demonstrations
  • [ 5 ] I believe that I really learned a lot. I learned some new technologies, but more important is that I learned how to work in a team and how to organize a team.
  • [ 5 ] I knew the affects distributed projects bring, now I know how to mitigate them. I know CBSE, and lots more
  • [ 2 ] There was not really a lot of learning in this class, the main thing i gained was project experience. That could've been better
  • [ 5 ] I have learned more than expected
  • [ 5 ] despite demotivating factors mentioned earlier, i have learned a lot and this was a great learning experience
  • [ 3 ] It's mostly the experience of working with people who are far away which can be good and quite bad (when people don't do the work they were assigned to do).
  • [ 4 ] I wish I had more time to spent on project.
  • [ 4 ] I have learnt how to work in a group and improved communication.
  • [ 4 ] I have learned pretty much in the course.
  • [ 4 ] There were lot of things as a whole which includes working in a team, meeting deadlines, delivering quality output
  • [ 4 ] I just can say I learnt in this project how actually work in team. Way of communication in team and knowledge sharing of different tools and methodologies.
  • [ 5 ] Learning new things was my primary goal in this course and have suceeded
  • [ 5 ] I do not have any words to describe what I have learnt from this Course. I learnt many things like working in a distributed way, learnt some cultural differences between different countries. New technologies used in our project.
  • [ 5 ] Learned some new technologies and gained some project experience.
  • [ 4 ] I learned to make good presentations with levels of backup for demo, write good documentations, work in a distributed team with effective communication using different tools
  • [ 3 ] I have learned some new things about the techologies and tools we were working with on the project.
I also learned a great deal about working on distance with another team.
  • [ 3 ] I have learned something new, true, but when compared to the amount of time I have invested in the course, I have learned quite a little.
  • [ 4 ] I gained valuable practical knowledge.
  • [ 4 ] to work well in the team of different cultures and thinking minds/capabilities.
  • [ 5 ] many
  • [ 5 ] Especially a team and project work was new to me

  • [ 5 ] lecture quality was excellent
  • [ 5 ] The lectures were great: interesting, casual, useful.
  • [ 4 ] at least not boring (most of them)
  • [ 2 ] The lectures were not really good, just listing some differences between cultures does not really teach a lot. Rather it would have been nice to learn some about the influence of for example software architecture or different development methods on how easy it is to make a distributed project work.
  • [ 4 ] Lectures were relaxing
  • [ 2 ] In my opinion they were not appropriate, not enough content, they consisted in only the introduction and the explanation of projects, which is not enough.
  • [ 4 ] The lecture about presentation giving was held too late. I couldn't connect some of the lectures to DSD. :)
  • [ 5 ] Some of them were a bit boring though.
  • [ 3 ] Some of them were out of context, and we could have used that time for projects.
  • [ 4 ] Ideally there were no real lectures it was only presentations but they were interesting and informative as well.
  • [ 4 ] The lectures were really good.I have really gained lot of confidence as I complete this course.
  • [ 3 ] Lectures were not quite enough because of work load but we got basic information of system life cycle.
  • [ 3 ] Am not very satisfied with that part, because lectures could have been more usefull - microcontrolers didn't help us, cultural differences did, but that also can be shrinked a bit and I believe more about team work and importance of rules and organization should be discussed before students actually start working together
  • [ 4 ] Really good and gave me a very good knowledge.
  • [ 4 ] were very good!
  • [ 2 ] Some of lectures were somewhat boring and unnecessary, like lecture of prof. Žagar about pervesive computing.
  • [ 3 ] I didn't like the presentations. We heard about most of it already. I think you should prepare lectures about some new and interesting technologies instead about for example cultural differences
  • [ 4 ] Very good.
  • [ 4 ] I like the cultural differences. Later I realized that we should take care of it more

  • [ 4 ] It was a good experience
  • [ 5 ] Very interesting, good to get to know how it works in real business situations
  • [ 4 ] Very good and interesting
  • [ 5 ] It was interesting to see that these topics are important in industry.
  • [ 3 ] Nothing special
  • [ 4 ] It was good. More lectures should have been arranged.
  • [ 3 ] It was ok.I learned some of the things through this lecture
  • [ 4 ] Guest lectures was very helpful for us, we really know what is going on market. Some times guest speaker gives us proposal for new project that is useful for market.
  • [ 4 ] I don't remember clearly the guest lecturer, but my impressions were good, nothing special but interesting
  • [ 4 ] It was good to know about few things about ABB and how they work in ABB.
  • [ 4 ] was impressive....
  • [ 4 ] Very interesting take on distributed development from a seasoned expert.
  • [ 5 ] Very informative and learned about the sofware market environment.

  • [ 4 ] Well, everything could be better. Overall, the project work was a great experience, but it could have been less stressful if some team members worked more.
  • [ 4 ] learned a lot about coordination
  • [ 4 ] It was a good project, our task was good, and generally the work was do-able.
  • [ 5 ] This was a great experience
  • [ 4 ] generally, it was excellent on the Croatian side, and good on Swedish side.
I believe you should have selection for this class in Sweden - to lower the number of students but also because all the teams had problems with their Swedish parts of the team - scary lack of competence (some really basic stuff)
  • [ 3 ] Locally, things were running great. Globally, there were some problems.
  • [ 5 ] I learned a lot more on this project than on many classes without defined point.
  • [ 5 ] Nice and different from other routine courses.
  • [ 4 ] There were lot of things to learn from technical as well as management perspective.
  • [ 4 ] In general project work was good and helping everyone can make his/her opinion. Work assigned to every body is according to their experience and their capabilities.
  • [ 4 ] In general, it was quite good, just some problems because diversity of team members sometimes made the atmosphere inside the team bad
  • [ 4 ] It was quite better.
  • [ 4 ] it was nice project and we put a lot of effort in it.
  • [ 4 ] The project we were working on was interesting, and we have sucedeed to do most of the things we planed to do.
  • [ 4 ] I have been quite happy with the effort of my team members, but unfortunately the lack of technical knowledge was obvious at times.
  • [ 3 ] Way too much work... But the cooperation with the Swedish team was quite good.
  • [ 5 ] Very nice, indeed! I enjoyed working with my team. They were so cute.
  • [ 4 ] good...i enjoyed.

  • [ 5 ] Our customer/supervisor was always ready to answer our questions and help us.
  • [ 3 ] can be improved
  • [ 4 ] This was good.
  • [ 5 ] Excellent support from bothe the supervisor and the customer
  • [ 3 ] could be much better
  • [ 3 ] Nothing special.
  • [ 5 ] Great
  • [ 4 ] feedback from supervisors was good and their encouragement and motivation made the course successful.
  • [ 5 ] Our supervisor (Rikard) was a great help throughout the project.
  • [ 4 ] Our supervisor really motivated us and helped us to achieve our goals.
  • [ 5 ] I am really proud our adviser was excellent and really helpful. I salute to him.
  • [ 4 ] It was ok, but it could have been better - suggestion to customers and supervisors: try to communicate to your teams and answer on their messages frequiently and on time
  • [ 3 ] It was good enough for our project.
  • [ 5 ] feedback from the customer and supervisor was fast and they were accessible very easy and when needed
  • [ 3 ] Support was ok from what I have seen, but mostly was done by MDH side, since customer and suprevisor were on their side, so can't comment much on this issue,
  • [ 3 ] Could be better.
  • [ 4 ] We were lucky that we got very cooperative supervisor and team leader.

  • [ 3 ] Not a great experience. Some MdH students did a great job, they were motivated and serious. On the other hand, some were totally not interested in project. Their knowledge was poor and they didn't even want to try harder.
  • [ 6 ] local project
  • [ 2 ] This was not really perfect, the people from Croatia came in to the project with a different mindset, because they had a meeting in advance where the teachers told them that it was a really heavy course, and it should only be taken if you are willing to spend quite some time, and are already experienced. This caused quite different expectations within the team.
  • [ 4 ] It was good, but it could be better. The students from FER according my opinion were too confident in that they new and wanted and were not so enthusiastic about discussions
  • [ 3 ] would be better if students in Sweden were more motivated for communication
  • [ 4 ] With good work division, the cooperation was good and mostly included project reporting.
  • [ 5 ] Our team was the best we could have got. Everybody was very communicative.
  • [ 5 ] Our team mates from FER were very co operative and thus had no conflicts in our work. Happy that we are friends now and planning to visit each other during vacations.
  • [ 4 ] Cooperation was good, but could have been better.
  • [ 4 ] It was really good.We used various communication tools which helped us to be connected together.
  • [ 4 ] Our collaboration was helping to complete our task, because our team leader was from FER side so she fully collaborated with us to complete tasks.
  • [ 4 ] It was ok and some people really tried, but diversity in knowledge and working habits is huge and people are not on the same level of competence - the worst thing it that Croatian part really tried to do compromises, but the other side didn't accept and appreciate that, they just did it their way and weren't prepared for real team work
  • [ 5 ] Really really excellent.
  • [ 4 ] Not as good as I hoped it would be. After the first lecture, I expected the students at MdH to be really motivated and even more competent than the ones at FER. Sadly, that was not always true.
  • [ 5 ] never felt that we are in differnt countries. But there were some differences in timings for exams and this made it a little difficult at some point of time
  • [ 3 ] Cooperation was mostly OK, but sometimes issues arrised because of huge knowleade gaps between MDH and FER students.
Also, FER students are much more proficient in working in teams, so inexperiance in that area of some MDH students also presented a problem.
  • [ 4 ] Good cooperation on all levels (members were readily available at all times).
  • [ 4 ] Cooperation was good between FER and MDH.
  • [ 4 ] In general good. Sometimes we had a communication problem with FER students since they sounded sometimes arrogant - I realized that it can be just about different communication styles.

  • [ 5 ] So glad that is all over!!! :)
  • [ 5 ] I think I had a very heavy workload (or possibly just heavy). There was always work to do... Always.
  • [ 5 ] we felt relieved after submitting the final ques
  • [ 4 ] There was a bit too much work for the ECTS that we get for it.
  • [ 4 ] A lot of work, but great results
  • [ 5 ] because me and my team members in Croatia had to work on assignments of team members in Sweden because they didn't know how to even create a simple database
  • [ 4 ] A little bit more than I expected.
  • [ 4 ] Had to workv very heavily during alpha, beta and final product presentations. Other time, the work load was medium and manageable.
  • [ 5 ] The workload was quite much then other courses
  • [ 5 ] I was alomost overloaded with work most of the times may be because the technology was new for me and my team.
  • [ 3 ] My work was not heavy actually I have to implement database its documentations, web contents making and live testing document. I complete my work as a fun.
  • [ 5 ] It was very heavy, but I planned to work hard and also had a role which needed some extra hours so it was not a surprise for me
  • [ 4 ] I got quite heavy workload during my Project.
  • [ 4 ] it was ok, initially I had less work pressure only documentation but as the testing began I was busy and had plenty of work.
  • [ 3 ] My worklord was as I predicted at the start of course, and followed the project plan prediction.
  • [ 5 ] The scopes of the projects should be reconsidered since this course asks for too much time when taking into account the other courses we have to cover at the same time.
  • [ 5 ] I worked hard.
  • [ 3 ] I am afraid I have to rank it 3. To be honest I did not get the more workload, since it was my first experience to work on such a hufe academeic project. but I am desperately looking forward to play a leading role in the future projectsto come and to put all the learning I obtain from here to work.

  • [ 4 ] we used skype and gotomeeting mostly. The class room was good
  • [ 4 ] There was enough equipment, the videoconferencing room worked well.
  • [ 3 ] Working with skilled people from three countries.
  • [ 4 ] The video can be of better quality
  • [ 4 ] We used mostly Skype, but it depends on the internet connection.
  • [ 4 ] Certain tools like skype were of immense assistance in carrying out the project.
  • [ 3 ] The quality of voice as well as video was not very fine
  • [ 5 ] I haven’t found any hurdle in communication and any kind loose equipment. Every thing was available SVN server was available to upload our work and all communication tools were available to us.
  • [ 4 ] It was quite good - cameras are not professional, but it was just enough; something that really bothers me is that teachers haven't prepared for technical issues before the lecture starts - teachers should prepare the equipment before and student also when giving presentations, so we don't wait for equipment fixing when lectures start
  • [ 4 ] It was better.
  • [ 4 ] skype and google group did all the job we needed....
  • [ 2 ] On FER, there should be some room(s) that students can reserve when they need to have a private place for video/voice conferance with remote site, or customer or suprevisor.
  • [ 3 ] Several reccuring stream problems (jitter, lags, etc.).
  • [ 3 ] It was so so... I am saying so due to often created trouble while we are on communication the FER team in the mic system and camera.

The most I like in this course was
  • The entire idea of DSD, how to collaborate and co-operate amongst all dis cultural and view point differences.
Also it has resulted in better presentation skills
  • I liked working with students from other countries. I also liked the way this course was organized, there were no exams, and we worked on interesting projects instead.
  • Experience in DSD, for which i think will be very valuable.
  • The feeling of participating on a real project.
  • new experiences gained, which couldn't have been gained in any non distributed project.
  • make the project together with the FER team. It has been a great experience for me.
  • people from different nations, working with new people
  • The project experience
  • The experience working on a real distributed software development project was unique for me. and it was really interesting and useful experience for my future job and career.
  • The project work, and the investigation about new technologies
  • The experience I had in developing a project together with students from other countries
  • I like Course management, according course tiltle, I gain good distributed development expirence.
  • presentations
  • Finally some real work, an interesting project. Although, truth be told, I've enjoyed meeting new people and talking to them the most. :)
  • Our supervisors are very co-orporating and good. Our course is combination of lectures and project presentations.Students from FER and MDH are working parallel on the project.
  • Learning new ways of communication. Also presentations were very useful both for improving public speaking and having deadlines in project.
  • Many different and interesting projects!
  • the fact that one day we are going to work on real projects and we have gained such a valuable experience and new friends in this course.
  • The lectures, concept of distributed work development, team work between FER,MDH,Unipaderborn, cultural differences, space for creativity of the students, good supervision.
  • Team work and more of practical work than theoritical.
  • 1.Presentations,colloboration and cooperation in a distributed work environment, chance to work under the supervision of highly talented faculty.
2.While filling the up the survey form, I realised the ethics of a responsible software engineer.
    3.Innovation among various teams.
4.I really enjoyed being a part of this course.
  • I mostly like remote side working because it was my first experience. I made it easier and it was fun for me to work with remote side.
  • Co ordination and co operation
  • I have learned some technical things, have had great experience in distributed multicultural team environment, have made some connections to people in Sweden and improved my connections to some people in Croatia
  • The concept of distributed environment and cross culture interference.
  • Working on our project in a distributed manner. It helped me a lot in understanding different people's lifestyles and other things.
  • Distributed Software Development, mixing with different people and learn to work together
  • working on a real world project which would be carried on in the future also.
  • Oppertunity to work with Distributed members, New ideas, Team work, Hardworking
  • Working on a project with new people from different countries and cultures.
  • presentations
  • Meeting people from other cultures and working with them.
  • Distributed experience and getting to know how people from different parts of the world think.
  • - teaching staff (friendly and willing to help)
    - some guest lectures
    - the chance to learn about other cultures and countries
    - interesting projects
  • the classroom.
  • The most I liked in this course was the opportunity to collaborate with people who were far away. They were cool and supportive, so teamwork was pleasant and new friendships are made.

I liked the organization - deliberately chosen deadlines helped with project planning and stimulated continuous and quality work.

Also, it was great to work on real projects.
  • Team work
  • To work together as a team where there were many differences in our culture, language etc.
  • Project work.

The following can be improved in the course:
  • The quality of students can be improved. There are some students who absolutely dont do anything in the course work. Sometime der eligibility to be part of the course is doubtful
  • There could maybe be less student presentations, because in a lot of them we didn't actually learn something new about the projects.
  • I think there should be a forum for this course and all the questions about it on web page. Existing "forum" is not good enough.
  • Don't really know. Everything was great.
  • more time per one presentation, but a bit less presentations overall.
  • I think a guest lecture from differents companies with different developing approaches could be very interesting.
Anyway, I think this is one of best courses I attended during my studies!
  • more time for presentations, individual assessment by supervisor (periodically)
  • More theory on distributed software development, perhaps less focus on cultural differences, since there were hardly any in the project team. Perhaps a bit smaller projects, or better managed expectations at the MDH side.
  • If customer and the supervisor are the same location then number of students from customer side should me greater than the remote location.
  • The video conferencing bandwidth :)
  • The students presentation should be equally long.
  • Lectures and information more appropriate about the course (for example workload expected).
The examinanion placed after the vacation (for me) was really a negative point for my evaluation of the course. The majority of students are exchange students and the Christmas vacations are the only period we can spend with our family and the project ( study-time excessive in the end of the period )and the examination brakes the vacations(one week less and it's mandatory to attend the final presentation).
  • N/A
  • accent should not be on working hours instead of project progress, disappointing level of skills and competence of Swedish students - make selection of the students who enroll this class in Sweden - it is absolutely awful that 25-year-old person whose skills are "working with databases" can't create a simple database, that they can't work with Word or add plugins to Eclipse.
Only the Best students from FER listened this class, and from respect to them these mistakes with all kinds of students in Sweden should not be repeated in the future.
  • More talk about business aspects of it and less talk about cultural differences.
We've got one goal - to finish a project in a successful manner with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. No amount of cultural difference should change that.
  • 1 - Local teams are not good like local MdH team, we don't learned a lot about DSD because our cultures are also too much similar.
2 - During project selection, projects contains already mentioned development languages, because some times team members are expert in different languages and sometimes problems occur,I think PHP,ASP.NET and Java are good languages for website development and it is not necessary that a person is expert in both three languages.
  • The motivation of all parts included. Some of the students showed the lack of motivation for to corporate in the projects and some of the clients were very hard to reach.
  • Better prepared video recording (especially on MDH site, the cam was often pointing at the window)
  • We desperatly need some room at the university (FER) where we can have video calls with other side without disturbances.
  • The equipments, sometimes the sound from FER was not clear that made the presentation less interesting.
  • The course should either increase credits or reduce the overall efforts required to complete the course.
  • 1.Increasing transparency within the teams in terms of work allocation.
2.Imparting technical training sessions to the team.
3.Ice breaking sessions for team building in starting of the DSD course.
4.Involving software industry companies,as well as students from various countries.
  • I think it should include all industry project and modern helpful project to boom up students abilities.
  • Clear indication of requirements
  • course organization (preparing for lectures - materials, equipment), better (more usefull) topics for lectures given by teachers, penalties for people who don't follow the rules (if you have 10min time, you cannot have presentation that takes 20min), find a way to appreciate people who really tried their best (in comparison to some people who don't really do their best, not even close)
  • 1. Team Organization and Distribution of Projects according to Skills
    2. Mentoring
  • More and more guest lectures which should gives some good knowledge about the new technologies around the World.
  • May be the selection for any particular project should be done after taking a single one to one interview. It makes or rather helps a lot as it gets the correct people working for a certain project.
  • I can't think of any major improvement, the course was a great experience for me.
  • Changing the emphasis from equal division of work to actual project results. The emphasis on work hours can be really demotivating.
  • communication quality between different countries, i mean sometimes the communication was not so good as the voice was not heard properly.
Also sometime slides was not seen in the other place properly, this can be improved.
  • Some kind of selection of students that can enroll the course must be made at MDH, because many of them don't have adequate knowleadge, and the knowleadge gap between Croatiand and MDH students is to great.
  • Credits should be 15 for this course.
  • - technical knowledge of students at MdH should be far better than it is
    - less teams, less students from MdH (70 students in total is too much for a course of this kind)
    - some lectures could be substituted with some that are more related to distributed software development
    - cultural issues are overexaggerated
    - presentations that exceed the time limits should be interrupted after 3-5 minutes
  • - less students
    - finer selection of students
    - less work
  • the lectures, i stated in comments what i mean
  • - less students
    - finer selection of students
    - increase credits or reduce complexity of projects
  • More guest lectures form indutry personnal, Communication equipments.
  • The length of the course and the credit. Credit should be increased or course length should short.
  • Setup of the communication equipment.
