Robocygne

The project started at MDH as an idea to further investigate how we human relate to robots. It is already a fact that we put a soul into robots a lot more than other types of equipment.

Lars Asplund and Kerstin Gauffin got funding from MDH to build a dancing robot. A master student from the Robotics program, Alexander Larsson, made this his Master Thesis project. As robot a dancing swan was selected.

In the project, Åsa Unander-Scharin, was asked to do the choreography of the dancing swan. The swan was choreographed to music made by Carl Unander-Scharin.

The word premiere was made during the book fair in Gothenburg October 2010. The picture is taken from this premiere.
