Welcome!
This is the homepage of Doctor Andreas Ermedahl. I'm computer scientist
working at the Mälardalens Real-Time Center (MRTC),
Department of Computer Science and Electronics, at
Mälardalen University in Västerås,
Sweden.
My main research focus is Worst-Case Execution Time
(WCET) analysis, actively working within the
WCET analysis research project.
WCET analysis
is used to determine a safe upper bounds on the running time of computer programs.
Such timing bounds are key components for analyzing and
understanding embedded real-time systems. The WCET project is part of the
ARTIST 2 Network of Excelence (NoE) - Compiler and
Timing analysis cluster.
If you want understand what WCET analysis is all about and how the
analysis is performed please have a look at the following popular science documents:
Introduction
to WCET analysis (English) or Introduktion
till WCET analys (Swedish). Please feel very welcome to contact me
if you have any questions regarding my research.
I am also the coordinator of the
SAVE-IT industrial research school. SAVE-IT organizes research studies for a
number of PhD students employed at companies, and works for an increased cooperation and exchange
between participating companies and universities.
You can download my Curriculum Vitae (CV) or use
the menu to the left to access more detailed information about myself
including contact information and detailed
list of my publications.
... and yes, I'm together with my son, Ebbe jr, on the picture!
