A company in the sound business (optimizing sound from loudspeakers) is interested in an autonomous drone mapping the complete room and creating an internal 3Dmodel. There are a number of challenges involved, which technology to use, how to achieve high resolution, how to map behind items, etc. Also some AI classification of objects may be included, e.g. identifying chairs, lamps, shelfs etc. The project will be based ideally on open source 3d mapping software and AI software navigating the drone safely in the room.
