In the SoS domain, lack of failure data due to autonomy of constituent systems (operational and managerial independence)  makes failure analysis and prediction challenging. In addition, the evolutionary development and the emergent behavior exhibited by SoS systems complicated the activity of establishing a suitable testing environment. In this thesis, we will explore alternative ways for failure analysis and prediction for SoS by leveraging constituent systems failure contributions and importance measures such as Baye’s technique.
