Need to create a real-time visualization of system to display machine performance and operational data, improving decision-making and enabling proactive issue resolution on the shop floor.

 

Overall objective:

To design and implement a real-time data visualization system that collects, processes, and displays machine data in an intuitive format to enhance monitoring, operational insight, and decision-making.

 

Research questions:

-What data is currently collected from the machines, and how can it be visualized effectively?

-What are the critical KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that need to be monitored in real-time?

-What tools and technologies are required to achieve real-time data visualization?

-How can the system alert operators and decision-makers when performance metrics deviate from the expected range?

 

Evaluation metrics:

-Accuracy and timeliness of the real-time data visualization.

-User adoption and effectiveness in improving decision-making.

-Reduction in machine downtime or operational inefficiencies after the implementation of the visualization system.

-Speed and efficiency of issue detection and resolution based on the displayed data.

 

Envisaged solution:

Develop an interactive dashboard that displays real-time machine data, highlighting critical metrics such as operational status, cycle times, and error rates. The system will include notifications for abnormal performance and will be accessible from desktop and mobile devices.
