Title: Simulation platform for intelligent orchestration of system of systems at construction domain
Subject: Computer science, Software engineering
Level: Advanced
Description:

In an SoS, multiple machines and systems from different vendors work together, and the interactions between them could lead to emergent behaviors that need to be studied for safety and productivity. This thesis is similar to other simulators like Carla (https://carla.org/) for autonomous cars but is applied to closed construction environments.

The simulation platform is intended as a powerful tool for optimization and risk management while enhancing automation and efficiency across multiple systems and vendors. You are supposed to model various actors (constiutent systems like diggers, wheel loaders, haulers etc)) using approriate modelling formalisms.  The design should  enable light weight, open and interoperable compnents with possibilites to interact/involve in various levels of simulations as well as capable to act as a consitutent system in a digital twin during operational phase.

The project will also have guidance and ineraction opprotunities with our industrial partners.
