Title: Robotic hand exoskeleton for BCI rehabilitation
Subject: Robotics
Level: Advanced
Description: In this Master thesis, the aim is to develop a hand exoskeleton that is able to help motor impaired patients (e.g. after stroke) to perform goal-oriented grasp movements during rehabilitation (such as grabbing an object etc).

The exoskeleton will be part of a closed-loop Brain-Computer Interface system developed in an ongoing research project at MDH. Thus the motion of the exoskeleton (either opening or closing of the hand) should be triggered by an external command determined from the real-time brain activity. A first prototype of the hand exoskeleton has been developed and will be used as a basis for this thesis.

For further information and more precise definition of the project, please contact Elaine Åstrand at elaine.astrand@mdh.se
